Improve your Health

Biofeedback is a process that enables an individual to learn how to change physiological activity for improved health and performance.

Precise instruments measure physiological activity such as brainwaves, heart function, breathing, muscle activity, and skin temperature. The presentation of this information - often in conjunction with changes in thinking, emotions, and behavior - supports desired physiological changes. Over time, these changes can endure without continued use of an instrument.

Using Biofeedback

EEG Biofeedback (Neurofeedback) monitors yours brainwave activity. Using this data, the doctor can help instruct you on how to encourage the brain to function in a more efficient pattern. It is often used for patients with ADD, autism, and depression.

EMG Biofeedback measures muscle tension and is often used for patients with chronic pain, headache, and TMJ.

Temperature Biofeedback measures your skin temperature. When you're anxious, your skin temperature decreases, so you'll know when your body is feeling stress and learn skills on how to control your temperature and anxiety.
