Unique Visual and Audio Feedback to Enhance Learning

The Advanced Biofeedback Center offers the most superb visual and audio biofeedback available. Flat screen LCD monitors with integrated stereo speakers are used to provide high quality visual and audio information to you so that you are able to change your behavior in the desired direction without straining to view a tiny laptop or small computer monitor. The addition of a subwoofer for audio feedback provides the "visceral" responses to your body's signals to further reinforce the correct physical changes you are making.

If EEG biofeedback (neurofeedback) is the recommended training for you, you will have many options for feedback. You may bring your own favorite CDs, MP3s, MIDI files, and DVDs to use as "reinforcers" or "rewards" for changing your brain waves in the correct direction. G-FORCE video is another option if you wish. The captivating, complex, colorful, ever-changing patterns on the LCD flat screen respond to your brainwaves! When your brain waves are "in the zone," the music and videos play. If you temporarily fall "out of the zone," the music and videos pause.

Children and adolescents particularly like using an X-Box system interfaced with neurofeedback systems. When your son or daughter is relaxed, still, and focused, the X-Box video and audio appear on the large LCD flat screen. If the youngster temporarily becomes anxious, tense, upset, or unfocused, the LCD screen becomes blank and audio ceases. Through operant conditioning, he or she learns how to remain very still and relaxed while simultaneously being focused.
